Curaçao Liqueur Distillery
Enjoy the real Blue Curaçao! A visit to the small scale distillery is a journey through local history. You will learn all about the liqueurs and enjoy the taste.
Enjoy the Real Blue Curaçao
Blue Curaçao is definitely one of the most famous liqueurs in the world and used in many cocktails. Landhuis Chobolobo, a 19th-century historic mansion, is the Home of the Genuine Curaçao Liqueur and one of the few freely accessible country houses in Curaçao.
A visit to the small scale Curaçao Liqueur Distillery is a journey through local history. You will learn all about the Senior Liqueurs and enjoy the taste such as it is produced since 1896. Enjoy a cocktail in historic surroundings in the cozy courtyard, try locally made ice cream or indulge in delicious Caribbean food. Inside the mansion, you will find a gift store, which offers a wide selection of Senior liqueur products and original Curaçao souvenirs.
Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm. Entrance is free and you can also taste a selection of the fine liqueurs for free. Open to all ages and fun for the whole family.
Genuine Curaçao Liqueur by Senior
Senior Liqueur started producing their premium and handcrafted orange liqueur in 1896. When speaking of an official Curaçao Liqueur, the liqueur has to be made with the dried peels of the “Laraha”, which can only be found in Curaçao. To this day, Senior is the only brand in the world, which does that. Senior Liqueur produces premium Triple Sec, Blue Curaçao and a variety of other specialty liqueurs. The liqueur is kosher certified.
Guided or Self-guided: You Choose
You can do the self-explanatory tour and you will have a great time. But the guided tour offers a more immersive experience. One of our tour guides takes you on a journey and provides in-depth knowledge. You will then enjoy one of the signature cocktails of your choosing made, of course, with Senior liqueurs.
Combine Your Visit
Landhuis Chobolobo is located in Saliña, which is close to downtown Willemstad and combines perfectly with a visit to the historic city. You can also visit on your way to, or from, the beach. You can get there by car, taxi or bus. Most sightseeing tours offered at hotels, also include Chobolobo in their route.
