The cool car charity rental company ‘Ducks United Curacao’ offers tourists as well as locals the opportunity to experience the special feeling of cruising the island in a ‘Caribbean Duck’.
The Citroen 2CVs are adapted to the demands of the 21st century and accommodated with new original conveniences. Think of an Ipod / MP3- connection point, extra speakers in the back and a nicely colored little sun roof.
It is possible to rent a retro cooler and there are abundantly filled picnic baskets offered with a nice bottle of wine, so you can have your own party on the way. You can also bring one of the duck phones that are available, there are freshly colored car seats for the kids, and on request you will be picked up at the airport or the nostalgic rent-convertible will be delivered at your hotel, resort or (rented) house. Even hats to protect you from the sun are offered.
Part of the revenue of Ducks United Curacao will go to local charity goals. By organizing ‘duck-events’ money will be collected to help inform and educate people about the importance of keeping the (sea-) water clean and about not spoiling drinking water.
