The artworks of visual artist Avantia Damberg (1977) are often a search for the past to consider our identity and to revalue.
It is as if every work is shaping another piece of our identity. Avantia works in different disciplines and jumps with ease from small collages on paper to large installations. At her workplace in the heart of Punda, she creates works that have a big impact or at least make us think about our identity. Her critical look often comes from an unexpected angle and that’s what probably makes her work so intriguing.
