History
Pietermaai Smal, once the area of the Curacao well-to-do, has undertaken a huge make-over after a long period of neglect and abatement. However, the last 2 years Pietermaai Smal is working hard to be the new ‘Quartier Latin’ of Curacao.
Several exclusive enterprises, such as wine merchant ‘Servir Frais’, student bar ‘De Nachtwacht’, restaurant & Café ‘Mundo Bizarro’ and wellness center and hair dresser ‘White Feather’, came into existence in Pietermaai Smal during the last years. In the future the fashion workshop ‘Padrino’ and an art workshop will be originated as well. The pleasant and idyllic apartments and studio’s of Pietermaai Smal Apartments are situated in renovated, two hundred years old manors .

Location
The colorful Pietermaai Smal Apartments are located in the historical neighborhood of Pietermaai Smal in Willemstad. The apartments are divided from the sea by a narrow road. The center of Willemstad is only 500 meters away. Just like the neighborhoods Punda, Otrabanda, several clubs, shops, restaurants and cinema’s. The well-known Mambo Beach is 4 km. away.

Facilities
Pietermaai Smal Apartments features 31 apartments (divided into apartments and suites), a reception and restaurant & café ‘Mundo Bizarro’. This restaurant in Latin style, is furnished in a cozy quaint style and is open from 10 AM till midnight. Tasty coffees, sandwiches, cocktails and many other splendid meals are just a few out of many keywords to describe Mundo Bizarro. The restaurant’s neighbor is wellness center and hair dresser ‘White Feather’. White Feather offers massages, a sauna, jacuzzi, hair styling and manicure/pedicure. Pietermaai Smal Apartments is divided over
two gardens, each with a small swimming pool, sun terrace and chaise longues.

Rooms
Garden Apartment: pleasantly furnished; split-level, air conditioning, kitchenette with two electric stoves, coffee machine, refrigerator, luxury chairs and a bathroom with shower. The apartments also have a snug corner bordered by the garden. These apartments do not feature a television. Suite: similar to the garden apartments, without garden seats, on ground level and soon with television.

Special remarks
Because of the fact that during the renovation the lay-out of the old premises remained, the apartments might differ from each other in extend, arrangement and furniture. Please indicate, while making your reservation, if you prefer an apartment or a studio.
