The Curaçao Men's National Team has qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Finals.
That statement says so much about who this island is as a nation and as a people. More than just a soccer achievement, it is a landmark moment in our history. The accomplishment has given us a global stage to show our island's culture, deep rooted and diverse community, and special multicultural spirit. For all of those who hold Curaçao in their heart, this is a truly special time.
We invite you to join the Blue Wave movement and support us this summer as we take on Germany, Ecuador, and the Ivory Coast. As the smallest nation by population ever to qualify for the tournament … we are the underdog you want to cheer on. Wherever you are in the world, stand behind us as your second team, or even your first, and maybe, just maybe, we can make more miracles happen together.
When Curaçao secured their place for the World Cup, qualifying out of the CONCACAF region, celebrations stretched across every inch of the island … and across the sea to The Netherlands, and throughout Europe. The twenty-six man roster will be captained by Leandro Bacuna, who plays soccer in Türkiye, after having spent years with English giant Aston Villa. His teammates play in nearly a dozen leagues around the world, helping spread the island spirit from Miami, to Switzerland, to Saudi Arabia, and beyond. The Blue Wave has already achieved sporting glory, and is still looking for more.
Counting down to Curaçao's first World Cup match.
